Every grind in Steel Fighters has a shape before it has a shortcut. Cash, Scrap, luck, damage and XP all move through the same session, and the order you touch them decides whether your minutes compound or leak. The Overworld gives you Upgrades, an Index of every Robot, a Spin Wheel, a Robot builder with more than 50 new Robot parts and a server-wide Events board. The Space side pushes you through floors and boss battles. Read the flow first, then cut the fat.

The currency flow of each farmable mode

Three currencies carry most of the progress:

  • Cash buys upgrades that strengthen robots for floors and boss battles. It also funds the Reforger at 10k and the Roll Stats screen at 100k.
  • Scrap is collected in the Junkyard and in the field, then carried back to your base to craft better parts and upgrade your robot.
  • Boosts stack on top: luck and money boosts raise drop quality, damage boosts add power in combat, and extra XP plus items such as dice and hammers push you toward rebirths sooner.

Rebirths matter because the robot level limit rises each time you rebirth, so XP spent early has a higher ceiling later. That single fact reorders the whole session.

Route order: stack the events instead of chasing them

Events are bought for the whole server, and each one warps the economy for a fixed window. Run them in this sequence:

  1. Golden Hour (1 minute): Junkyard scrap doubles and everyone runs faster. Use the speed to ferry scrap from the field to your base while the multiplier is live, then immediately spend it on upgrades.
  2. Scrap Frenzy (3 minutes): Scrap doubles again and bosses pay +200% Cash. This is your longest window, so time your boss attempts inside it rather than before it.
  3. x2 Money Night (2 minutes): Cash doubles for everyone. Pair it with your expensive actions, because the Reforger and Roll Stats screens are Cash sinks.
  4. Lever luck (2 minutes 20 seconds): Lever luck triples for everyone. Save your lever pulls for this window instead of spending them flat.
  5. Meteor Shower (20 seconds): Meteors drop overclocked treasure. Be already in position, because 20 seconds leaves no travel time.
  6. Lightning Storm (20 seconds): Bolts overcharge Robots, but junk turns rarer. This is the one event where you should not be farming Scrap.

The trap is treating every event as equal. Golden Hour and Scrap Frenzy both feed the same Scrap pipeline, so they stack. Lightning Storm actively taxes your junk, so run it for the overcharged Robots and the treasure, not for collection.

Where to stop: caps and diminishing returns

Two screens are designed to bleed Cash:

  • Reforger (10k Cash): pick one robot and pay for a reforge, which can land minus or plus. A minus result is pure loss, so reforging flat means you are converting a doubled Cash window into variance.
  • Roll Stats (100k Cash): the ten-times-larger sink. Rolling outside an x2 Money Night multiplies the sting of a bad result.

Stop rule: if a reforge or roll does not land inside a Cash multiplier window, it waits. Likewise, once Scrap Frenzy ends, stop hauling junk for its own sake and switch to crafting, because the doubled rate is gone and your base storage has better uses.

What to buy with the time you saved

Saved minutes go into three queues:

  • Upgrades: permanent buffs, cheapest first, since they apply to every future run.
  • Index and robot assembly: with more than 100 robots to pull parts from and over 50 new Robot parts in Update 1, combining three robots is how you unlock stronger units before you touch the Reforger.
  • Spin Wheel: exclusive items on a pull, so spend it when your session is otherwise idle.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Which Steel Fighters event should I trigger first in a short session?

Golden Hour, because the 1 minute of doubled Junkyard scrap and bonus speed feeds directly into upgrades you can buy before the window closes. Scrap Frenzy is longer at 3 minutes but pays out on bosses, so it comes second if you are set up for boss attempts.

Q: Does rebirth change how much I should care about XP?

Yes. The robot level limit increases each time you rebirth, so XP has more room to convert into power after a rebirth. Extra XP boosts, dice and hammers are most valuable right before you plan to rebirth rather than at the start of a fresh level grind.

Q: Can I redeem codes in Steel Fighters right now?

There are currently none to redeem. This page is monitored and updates the moment new ones drop.

Respect the clock

Steel Fighters rewards players who sequence, not players who grind longer. Trigger Golden Hour for the scrap sprint, hold Scrap Frenzy for your boss attempts, dump Cash inside x2 Money Night, save lever pulls for the luck window, and refuse the Reforger and Roll Stats screens outside a multiplier. That is the whole playbook, and it fits inside whatever session you actually have.
